AR-050 Zone 1 Evaporators

The AR-050 is an explosion-safe air handler designed for temperature control in zone 1 hazardous areas. It is commonly used in rooms where chemicals or flammable substances are stored, or where lead batteries are charged, such as in forklift stations or UPS backup systems. The compact design ensures optimal use of storage space, while offering safe and efficient operation in high-risk environments.

The unit is certified under ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU (ATEX114), product category II 2G, gas group IIC, and temperature class T4, and carries the CE mark.

Refrigerant and efficiency

The AR-050 is optimized for use with R513A, a non-toxic and non-flammable A1-class refrigerant. Other refrigerants are available upon request. To improve the efficiency, the unit is equipped with coils made from inner grooved copper tubing and aluminum fins, helping reduce refrigerant volume and increasing heat transfer performance.

Optional outdoor condenser unit

For full system integration, a separate outdoor condenser unit is available. This includes:

• A control box with built-in safety features
• Barriers for the intrinsically safe circuits connected to the AR-050 air handler
